Boys & Girls Brigade
Boys' Brigade
The Boys’ Brigade is one of the oldest and largest youth organisations in the world. Its object is “The advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys and the promotion of the habits of obedience, reverence, self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.”
It is open to boys aged 5 to 18+ and offers a varied programme of sports, outdoors activities, crafts, skills, community involvement, spiritual reflection and opportunities for travel in the UK and overseas. Boys participate in the BB Awards Scheme and can opt to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

Girls' Brigade
The Girls’ Brigade aims “to help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life.”
It is open to girls aged 5 to 18+ and offers a varied programme of sports, crafts, skills, community involvement, spiritual reflection and opportunities for excursions and leadership development. Girls participate in the GB Awards Scheme and can opt to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
